Members should not use the name of the Society, or their membership of the Society, as part of branding or to promote or advertise their professional services. Post-nominal reference to membership of the BFS is not permitted.
If undertaking professional duties, members should only accept work where they have the requisite qualifications, skills, knowledge and fitness for the tasks to be performed. They should be mindful of the Society’s guidelines and best practice documents.
Members should be aware that unprofessional behaviour on their part which brings the good name of the Society into disrepute may result in suspension, revocation or non-renewal of membership.
