Associate Membership
Members from:
Trade or HFEA employee Proof of status from employer (mandatory) Legal Solicitor’s Registration Authority ID or Barrister’s Practising Certificate number (mandatory) -
Clinical Membership
All registered medical professionals should join this category if they are wholly or partly working as a clinician in Reproductive Medicine. This would include clinicians studying for an MD or PhD as part of their daily work and clinical psychologists.

Medical Doctor GMC number or overseas equivalent (mandatory) Psychologist Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC -
Counsellor Membership
Professionals can join this category if they are wholly or partly working as a counsellors or sociologists in Reproductive Medicine.
Members from:
Counsellor Registration with one of the below is mandatory Accredited/registered member of ACC, BACP, BICA, BPC, BPS, BASRT, BABCP, COSRT, COSCA, HGI, IACP, UKCP, UKRCP. UKAHPP

Manager Membership
Anyone working wholly in a managerial role within a centre should join this category regardless of their professional background. This could include Business Managers or Quality Managers
Management Proof of status in a HFEA (or equivalent) registered clinic (mandatory) -
Nurse Membership
All State Registered Nurses working wholly or partly within a clinic should join this category. This category could also include nurses working in an academic setting undertaking teaching or research roles.

Nurse NMC or other professional identifier (mandatory) -
Paramedical Membership
Ultrasonographer For ultrasonographers working in Fertility care in regulated professions allied to medicine. -
Refugee Membership
Individuals who have refugee status. Applicants must include written proof of their status. Members in this category will need to revalidate with proof of status annually on renewal.

Retired Membership
All individuals who are now retired and unwaged should join this category regardless of their prior professional background.
Retirement status proof required. -
Scientist Membership
This category may include Andrologists or Embryologists working in a treatment centre in addition to researchers and academic psychologists working in an academic setting.

Clinical Scientist – Embryologist HCPC registration or equivalent (mandatory) Clinical Scientist – Andrologist HCPC registration or equivalent (mandatory) Research scientist/academic Proof of academic (not honorary) role (mandatory) -
Student Membership
Individuals who are studying full time for an academic qualification for which they are in receipt of a grant or bursary should join this category. This does not include those studying part-time whilst working in another role (e.g. MD students). Applicants for this category of membership must include written proof of their student status.
Student members will need to change their membership category once they qualify
