Education and Travel grants

A message from Marta Jansa Perez – Treasurer.

We are pleased to announce the allocation of more funds to support members of the Society to attend Study week in September and the Fertility conference in Edinburgh as we have expanded the number of Education and Travel grants that we offer. This will make education, network and research events more accessible to members and allow for professional development and growth of our multidisciplinary membership.

We have been able to allocate further funds to these activities thanks to recent significant financial achievements through the use of our splendid new website for membership management, the switch of our journal, Human Fertility, to open access thereby mitigating publishing costs and the immense success of the annual fertility conference that we organise along with our sister societies, ARCS and SRF. With the support of our Secretariat at Profile Productions, we have successfully maximised income whilst minimising expenditure. We are also very grateful for the support that our invaluable sponsors continue to provide to the Society.

Education and training are the main goals of BFS and thanks to this financial success we are now able to reinvest in the membership, enabling as many professionals in the field as possible to achieve their educational goals
