The British Fertility Society in Association with the Association of Biomedical Andrologists, the British Andrology Society, the Association of Clinical Embryologists and the British Infertility Counselling Association took a stand at the Fertility Show for the second year this month.
Whilst the show is largely a showcase for the commercial world that surrounds assisted reproductive technologies, the Joint Societies stand represented one of the few (INUK and the HFEA were of course also present) resources for members of the public to talk about areas of interest to them without the hype. Many expressed their gratitude for that and there was huge interest in the leaflets available to them – all of which are available in the public area of the website. Those members of the societies who manned the stand over the two days were also very positive about their contributions. It seems likely that this will remain an important date in the BFS diary. If you would like any more information about the BFS involvement in the Fertility Show please contact the Executive Committee.
