Requirements
Prize Submissions: All abstracts to be considered for a prize must be submitted by a BFS member.
Submission: Please submit your abstract on line adhering to the detailed instructions, ensuring that you are available to present your work at the meeting.
Registration form: Upon notification of a successful submission, please complete the official meeting registration form ASAP to ensure that you don’t miss the early bird deadline.
Publications
Final programme: A final programme is produced for all meetings and will include a copy of your abstract.
Human Fertility Journal: A copy of your abstract will appear in the Human Fertility journal in print and online.
Session Format
- Your poster must be displayed throughout the meeting and boards will be available to authors from the first morning of the meeting.
- There will a formal poster viewing at which you must be present to discuss your poster with interested delegates.
- The BFS would like to encourage you to bring along photocopies of the data contained within your poster so that interested delegates may take them away if they wish.
- Posters must be removed at the end of the meeting. Any posters remaining will be removed and disposed of.
Presentation Guidelines
The following are some helpful tips in regard to producing your presentation:
- Your poster should be no larger than 90cm by 150cm
- Posters are to be affixed with drawing pins or Velcro stickers and authors should bring these with them (Blue tack is strictly prohibited)
- To be of value your poster should not be too cluttered. It should be set out in a clear and logical manner, with text reduced to an essential minimum
- Lettering, including figure legends, labelling and symbols on graphs etc, should be large enough to be legible at 2m.
- Photographs should be matt, not glossy
Day of Presentation
- On arrival at the meeting you should report to the registration desk. You will receive a name badge, any pre booked catering or social tickets and also the conference materials
- Familiarise yourself with the room layout and display your poster immediately
