The BFS hosts a major scientific meeting each year. This meeting
is normally held in January. Every second year the BFS
annual meeting is held jointly with the Society for Reproduction
and Fertility and the Association of Clinical Embryologists.
The annual scientific meeting is held over two or three days and includes
plenary sessions, prize paper sessions, short communication sessions
and two eponymous lectureships - The Patrick Steptoe Memorial Lecture
and the H S Jacobs President's lecture. There is also a poster abstract
display. Prizes are
awarded in several categories to the leading short communication
(oral). A full social programme is also included. This meeting is
planned to be of interest to all constituent groups within the Society.
