Fertility 2003 is the third joint meeting of the UK Fertility
Societies
(British Andrology Society (BAS), British
Fertility Society (BFS)
and
the Society
for Reproduction and Fertility (SRF)). The 2003 meeting
follows on from the highly successful joint meetings held in
Edinburgh in 2000, and in York in 1997. The Aberdeen meeting will
be the biggest fertility meeting in the UK during 2003 and has
attracted in the order of 500 scientists, clinicians, nurses, students
and counsellors working in reproductive medicine and reproductive
sciences.
The city of Aberdeen is a superb location for Fertility 2003,
with the meeting centred in the ancient and atmospheric University
of Aberdeen. The combination of historic location, spectacular
scenery and Scotland’s reputation as a centre of leading
medical and scientific research make Aberdeen the ideal place for
this exciting international conference.
The Local Organising Committee in conjunction with the Joint Programme
Secretaries have constructed an exciting programme with something
for everyone. This includes a range of symposia, free communications,
nurses’ and counsellors’ sessions and high profile
plenary and memorial lectures which will be given by those producing
cutting-edge research in reproduction and fertility.
A wide range of social events has been planned, including a Scottish
Ceilidh at the famous Aberdeen Beach Ballroom and the conference
dinner at the beautiful Ardoe House hotel at the
gateway of Royal Deeside. Both events aim to provide a taste of
traditional Scotland for all delegates. There is also an extensive
commercial display throughout the conference, enabling all delegates,
whether clinical or scientific, to catch up on the latest
products in the field.
Welcome to Aberdeen.
